Sativa Dominant Hybrid 60% Sativa / 40% Indica

THC: 18% – 25%, CBD: 1%, CBN: 1%

White Widow is a hybrid strain that many have been familiar with since the early 90’s. This strain has global popularity and can easily be found atop a menu at almost any Amsterdam coffee shop.

The prevalence of White Widow strain has greatly increased due to the television show Weeds and references within the rap industry.

This strain holds a pretty balanced 60:40 sativa/indica ratio ( Brazil Sativa X South Indian Indica) that leads one to a cognitive driven high with a relaxing undertone.

Patients will opt for this strain if they’re seeking a strain that allows them to unwind and relax while still maintaining a sense of mental awareness.

This strain is especially good for depression, stress, pain, and PTSD.  Beware though, this sweet sugary smoke starts out light but expands dramatically which can lead to heavy coughing; especially if you’re a novice smoker.

When it comes to smell, you can expect a citrus and peppery scent that is accompanied by a lemony aftertaste. This strain is perfect for outdoor activities like hanging out at the beach or taking a nice walk.

More About White Widow Ι White Widow Strain

Legendary for its off-the-charts resin production, White Widow strain is a staple sativa-dominant hybrid with powerful energizing effects. It was produced by Dutch veterans Green House Seeds in the 1990s as a cross between Brazilian indica and South Indian sativa landraces.

At the time, the underground market consisted mostly of early like Northern Lights and Haze, but White Widow strain has since joined the ranks of these legendary strains, winning an early High Times Cannabis Cup in 1995 and several awards since.

Bred specifically for a high trichome count, White Widow strain is especially valued in the production of hash. This strain has an average THC composition of 20%, with some phenotypes exceeding that amount.

Buds of this strain are chunky and somewhat conical and tapered. The bud structure of the flowers are more sativa than indica, with a loose and fluffy texture that can be broken up somewhat easily despite its stickiness. The leaves are spring green with few visible pistils.

When grown successfully, buds are entirely covered in long-stalked trichomes, lending the whitish-gray appearance that gives the strain its memorable name. This strain is known for having a stinging, ammonia-like scent with some hints of earthy pine. Breaking buds open gives off a more hashy, incense-like odor.

The smooth smoke tastes similarly earthy — users accustomed to fruity or tasty crossbreeds may be disappointed by White Widow’s relative lack of flavor. That said, White Widow strain is especially pungent when combusted, so smokers worried about discretion should plan accordingly.

All time favorite of mine……Many have come and gone, but White Widow is here to stay…Potent, perfect hybrid balance, easy to grow….IT HAS BEEN harder to find original genetics as the 1994 version was….It is out there, but also many substitutes that were ‘butchered’ IMO….This was a strain that never needed any over zealous breeders THINKING that they are improving it…classic example of not trying to fix something that wasn’t broken to begin with….Get yourself some old school WW and enjoy the experience…YT

White Widow strain is full-bodied medicine that can be a bit spacey. This makes it popular among patients suffering from anxiety, PTSD, chronic aches and pains, as well as migraines. The best White Widow i got is from MarijuanaTakers.

Good shat, if you’re interested in relaxing with a happy high, that doesn’t knock you out. Not that motivating, though, as the review says, perfect for hanging at the beach or park. 😎🍭🌱

I usually start my mornings with a straight sativa then turn to a hybrid later for my second dose. This strain is the best of both worlds. White widow works on being Energetic as well as a pain reliever. Mental focus is a plus as the stresses of the day seem to disappear.

First smoked this in college 01-02 years and the bud was actually all white. Not sure what happened to the genetics to turn it green now but it’s still fire. Pungent smell with earthy taste. The high is incredible. Love this strain and hard to come by in my region.

White Widow from Peace Natural Projects in Stayner, Ontario.. almost 3yrs ago i was buying this strain medical weed from above company.. was consistently 25% for 9 months… then gone… I left them for other LP’s but have recently returned and batch i am reviewing was 22.2% THC Same taste and smell along with extremely tight nugs…only diff is the colour looks a bit different and thc lower.. but main ingredient is this strains ability to make u worryfree and sociable with a slight indica buzz to keep u grounded …one of the best strains no matter what company/person growing

Amazing how this strain has endured since the 1990’s…At best, an average smoke..A fifteen minutes light buzz.. The dreadful taste is forgettable, and that harshness is cough inducing even for seasoned smokers. Three starts for her ability to exist amongst so many better strains…Actually, we’re thinking about deducting another star just on principle !

Heard about this strain thru music and if you’re a regular smoker roll a big one to get proper effect of it. Smooth when smoking but after few hits it makes me cough. Good buzz effect no axiety or paranoia at all just felt sleepy after the effect. Not too smelly neither. Perfect for relaxing, reading, watchin tv…

Great strain. For me, it first mellow and motivates. Then it relaxes and focuses my attention on the task at hand. Finally, it knocks me out. I’m talking, heavy eyes, yawning, sit down, head nodding, and lights out. Great for end of day. Makes you happy and stress free, just realize that the more you smoke, the faster you’ll hit that pillow.
